Frans Saurwalt is an experienced consultant and designer on contamination control processes. His field of experience: Pharma, Biotech, Healthcare, Food, Semicon, Medical devices, Nuclear, Bio-containment, Labs. Besides his job as a Technical Manager at Kropman Contamination Control, Frans is very well known and active in organizations concerning contamination control.
From 2004 to 2014 he was president of the VCCN (Vereniging Contamination Control Nederland), contribute to the success of VCCN as a knowledge platform on Contamination Control. Together with the board Frans has made the society for contamination control in the Netherlands more relevant. After having served the VCCN as President for 10 years, he was awarded as Honorary membership.
Since 2015 he is Chairman of the International Confederation of Contamination Control Societies (ICCCS).
From 2010 he is expert within ISO TC209 working group 3 on the revision of the current version of ISO 14644-3 (test methods) Starting from 2015 he is convener within ISO TC209 managing working group 4 on the revision by assigned experts of the current version of ISO 14644-4 (design, construction and start-up) with respect to actual terminology, state of the art design approach and design aspects with respect to control particulate, microbial and/or chemical contaminants in air and on surfaces.
For 3 years Frans is Chairman of the EHEDG-NL board and promoting Hygienic Design and Operation in Food Processing.
